SMWYC Race Team 2025

Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club sent an all-member team to Long Beach Race Week for the 5th time in 2025. This was the first year they received funding from the Foundation.

Dear Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation,

Thank you so much for providing our team with $1800 in funding to attend Long Beach Race Week 2025. Our club’s fifth time doing this regatta. The funding helped ensure we had enough practices and prep to be competitive. We were proud to wear the Foundation logo on our sleeves! We took 6th place in an extremely competitive field of 11 boats. Some of the other boats had crew who raced in Congressional Cup, or who race those boats every Wednesday out of Long Beach. Can’t wait to do it again!
