Dear SMBSF,
My name is Naomi, and I am 15 years old. I am a cellist, a fine artist, and because of your kindness, I am also now a sailor. I wanted to write this to thank you from the bottom of my heart and share how great this program is. When I was about 9 years old, my father passed away. Losing him at such a young age completely changed my life. Some of my most special memories with him were by the ocean, walking on the beach, fishing together, and watching boats out on the water. Your generosity gave me skills I will carry with me for the rest of my life and reminded me there are still kind people in the world who care deeply about others.
Thank you for consistently committing to my participation these past few years. I will never be able to thank you enough for what you have done for me and my family. I truly hope and pray that other children who are struggling, grieving, or facing hardships will continue to have opportunities like this.
Thank you to every instructor, board member, donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this possible for girls like me. Your kindness gave me hope when I needed it most, and I will carry that with me forever.
With all my gratitude,
Naomi
