Dear Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation,
Thank you so much for your generous support of my entry fee for the Orange Bowl Regatta, 2016. The regatta was a fun, competitive learning experience. My coach from CYC, Manny, helped me learn about starts, long upwinds, and boat speed in many different directions and amounts of wind. I was doing very well, but 2 drop races put me in silver fleet. I would have liked to be in with a 6, 6, 4, and 8th place overall in silver fleet.
I have raced one regatta since, where I was happy to see how that experience helped me racing against the local fleet.
